Natural Parenting stores in Frankfurt?

Beitrag von AKMountainMama »

Gals....

Does anyone know of a store that would carry Didys or Stochenwieges in Frankfurt? I'm also looking for Imse Vimse training pants... and would just love to browse in a few fun baby stores... I know that the Germans have all the good stuff around here! (Wood toys, organics, etc.) If it's good in the U.S. for babies - it was probably made in Germany!!! :D (We're having a new baby in August and I'm dying to just go and browse sweet baby things!)

Also looking for Hanna Andersson? Are there any stores here in this area?

Thanks so much! I've tried to do some looking online - but I'm a bit limited in my searching capabilities since I don't (yet) speak German.

Danke!

Hi Chelsie,

I don't know many such stores and I'm afraid you will have to buy most of the stuff via Internet...

Here's Cillys Lädchen in Frankfurt Bornheim. But they don't have Didys, only Lana, I think (allready forgot it  ). And no ImseVimse, they only sell natural products such as wool or cotton. They have lovely shoes for kids and adults!

If you have a car, you can reach Livipur in Bad Homburg quite easily. They're together with Maas Natur - my absolut FAVORITE shop - if I have money    They have Didys (but not the most beautiful ones). And they have great Clothes and toys, all natural. This Shop is best around Frankfurt  But a little expensive, too

Well, I sell a few Didys, too, but I dont have an own shop  These limited wraps with our logo.

Alexandra - thank you for the shop name! We'll be sure to check that one out...

And thanks for the offer on the wrap. I don't need a wrap... I have two with me and many more arriving in the household goods we shipped from Alaska a month ago! I'd just love to see them in a store and play with them for a while! :D

I also bought the SuT wrap from Nicole a couple of months ago - and wore my 22 month old daughter out on the town last night when we went looking for dinner. I'm advertising SuT in Frankfurt!!

Oh, thats great! :D I think, in Frankfurt you will see more "stylish" things , not so many wraps - except yours and the ones of the mums writing here

If you're also looking for a nice toyshop, you'll find a very nice one very close to Konstabler Wache called "Wohnen und Spielen". The street is "Große Friedberger Str. 32". They have lots of wooden toys, high quality, best of the best. And expensive ;-)

[quote = "Alexandra"] Hi Chelsie,

We finally made it to Livipur - and OH MY GOSH!! We had the most fun ever! My daughter wants to go back, just because it was such a gorgeous store full of fun, fun things. I recommend it to anyone within a few hour radius of Bad Homburg! Wool, wood, silk... all the best and most beautiful natural toys ever. They also had a shelf of Manducas and one, sad lonely Didy Lisa 6. Looked like it had been tried on several times by mamas... I think they'd benefit from a regular BWing class! They'd probably be able to sell quite a few wraps then.... too bad I can't speak German yet!

Thanks again for the recommendation. I just wanted to come back here to confirm to anyone else looking for a shop - that this is IT!

Maybe you would like to make a detour via Oberursel the next time you visit Livipur. The Kinderreich (www.kinderreichtaunus.de) sell organic clothes and also Manducas and Hoppediz wraps. In comparsion to Livipur it is a very small shop but they have a lot of lovely stuff.
