Hey girls. That's great to find an English-speaking community here. I'm Debbie & live in Bristol, UK but am originally from Germany. I have a little girl called Isla who is 9 months tomorrow
I'm very much an attached mama - we plan to do extended breastfeeding
and I babywear
and 4 months ago we started cloth diapering. Hope to get to know you all better.

Doesn't it feel weird to talk English with eachother when you guys know you're German?

Aber mit deiner Tochter sprichst du deutsch? Hier gibt es einen Thread zur mehrsprachigen Erziehung.
Ich leb seit 7 Jahren in Frankreich, aber auch bei perfektem Französisch, bleibt deutsch "meine" Sprache

Not at all. English is our family language and it oftens comes easier than German.
But then I've lived in the UK all my adult life and have been back in Germany for less than a year...

ja auf jeden Fall
ich spreche nur deutsch mit ihr. Das deutsche werde ich auch nie verlernen

Hallo zusammen,
ich habe mich nicht ganz durch die elf Seiten gekaempft aber ich lebe in Neuseeland (Suedinsel) mit meiner Tochter und Ehemann.
Keine Plaene nach Deutschland zu ziehen, aber mein Ehemann moechte unbedingt und findet die Idee gan "spannend & romantisch"
Mal sehen....

Hi,
I just looked up where in Iceland you live. We have lived in Iceland (Reykjavik) for one year (2008/2009) before we moved to Denmark. I really love Iceland, but isn´t it hard to live there for longer (especially, since you live so far from larger Cities).
